Acclaimed by audiences and critics around the world for his
vivid and imaginative performances, Charles Owen is equally at
home as a soloist and chamber musician. A popular and frequent
guest at music festivals such as Bath, Cheltenham, West Cork
and Perth, Australia, Charles has also performed with
celebrated orchestras - the Philharmonia, London Philharmonic
and Moscow State Academic Symphony.
His solo recordings of Janácek and Poulenc for SOMM have
been selected by the Penguin CD guide; the disc of Poulenc's
piano music was selected by Gramophone Magazine as Editor's
Choice and went on to be nominated for a Classical Brit Award
in 2005. Charles has also just released a disc of 13 nocturnes
by Fauré. In April 2008 he was invited to give a solo recital
in the Wigmore Hall Master Series.
